NaturePlay School

It's been a while, so here's a recap of what's been happening the last few weeks in NaturePlay School!

The NaturePlay Schoolers helped harvest the last of the garden:

They learned about fungus and decomposition:

Checking out some fungus
Searching for soil critters

They learned about geology:

Using a screen to separate rocks and sand
Investigating granite
Due to popular demand, a spider day was added:

Counting in their spider books
On a search for spider webs...found puddles instead!

Some of the NaturePlay Schoolers got very interested in birds one day. During free time, they pulled out all the bird ID books from our display and started doing sketches. There may need to be a bird day in the near future!

They've also been having lots of fun "cooking" during free play time, whipping up all kinds of creations, and even creating recipe books!

Recipe Books!
Building, climbing and digging are also popular choices!
Showing off climbing skills!
Fort building!
Just like the goats that were at Belmont Prairie!
Next week is the last week of this session; Click here to register for the next session!
