A sincere thank you to the Pierce Downer’s Heritage Alliance
for their generous funding of our Little Sprouts program! All District 58
first-graders take part in this fall field trip to Lyman Woods to discover
plants and soil. Students rotate through stations to discover the parts of a seed, role play the life cycle of a plant, cook up some soil, and dress up a teacher to learn the parts of a flower!
Without the continued support from PDHA, we would not be able
to continue this award-winning program for our Downers Grove first-grade students.
