Welcome Home, Bees!

Thanks in part to a generous donation from the Pierce Downer's Heritage Alliance, Lyman Woods is now home to a new educational beeyard! Five new beehives were installed by staff and volunteers recently.

The beeyard will be used in many programs including beekeeping workshops, summer camps and school and youth group programs. Look for our upcoming Junior Beekeepers summer camp, and check back this fall for information about our honey harvest and honey tastings!





Thanks to the many volunteers who contributed their time assembling, painting and installing the hives. And much thanks to the Pierce Downer's Heritage Alliance for their contribution towards this exciting educational opportunity!
